Yadi Nieves Centeno

Yadi has danced since the age of four and started choreographing since the age of eight. Trained at the prestigious School of Bellas Artes de Carolina PR in ballet, jazz, afro-caribbean, hip hop and modern dance, she went on to a performing in theaters and live stage shows, and appearing on television, in music videos, commercials, news papers and the press.

She became a professional dance teacher since age sixteen teaching hip hop, ballet and jazz, when she relocated to Kansas at Bates Dance Studios. Yadi moves after graduating high school and joined the Arthur Murray Dance Studio franchise, earning certification in “Rhythm and Smooth” styles. She also became an aerobic instructor certify under world-renowned champions Bob Powers & Julia Gorchakova and Jaana Kunitz, while competing as a professional herself. She had the opportunity to be part of other prestigious dances studios like Basic Ballroom in NYC. She later founded and ran two dance studios of her own “Dance to the Beat” in Florida, teaching, performing, and choreographing while appearing in commercials, television, radio and press. That career opened the door to choreographing for artists including Oscar de León, De La Ghetto, Dalex and many more.

Yadi put a quick hold on dancing and pursued a career in Hollywood movies, where she has worked as a stuntwoman, actress, stunt coordinator-action designer in major productions including, Loki, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Black Panther, Walking Dead, Blue Beetle, Black Heat, Call Her King and many more. She has created her independent filmmaking career making it at the “Women International Film festival”. Writing, directing, producing, action designing, and editing her own movie. Where she continues doing for herself.

Now Yadi returns to where it all began. With Yadi Ballroom Dance Academy, she brings everything she's lived home to Central Florida community, with the passion of someone who never stopped loving dancing, from a teacher thrilled to share the floor with you.
